Classes we offer
Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is an umbrella term and covers most physical yoga classes. In a typical hatha class you can expect some pranayama (deep breathing exercises) and meditation as well.
It is a gentle yet powerful practice suitable for all, fostering a union of breath and movement for holistic well-being. Hatha’s deliberate pace allows practitioners to explore each pose mindfully, promoting self-awareness and inner calm.
We offer various Hatha classes in our timetable;
- Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga – read more details below
- Yin Yoga – All Levels – read more details below
- Therapeutic Hatha Yoga – All Levels
- Energising Hatha Yoga– Levels 1, 2, 3
- Vinyasa Yoga – Levels 1,2 including enthusiastic beginners.
- Yoga for All – Levels Beginners, 1 – A simple Hatha Yoga class at a gentle pace. Perfect choice if you like a chilled practice without physically challenging yourself too much.
- Yoga Fundamentals – Level Beginners, 1- This class focuses on the fundamentals of yoga in depth, and explains basic asanas (physical postures) at a slower pace to help you explore them in a mindful setup. This class is perfect for beginners as well as more experienced practitioners who wish to touch the basics.
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a set sequence of asanas (physical poses) that are synchronized with the breath. Ujjayi Breath, Drishti (gazing point), Bandhas and Vinyasa are the key elements of this method and help us to experience the meditative quality of the practice.
Mysore classes are suitable for all abilities even if you don’t have an Ashtanga experience. Monthly-led classes are suitable for those of you who have an established Ashtanga Yoga practice.
We offer;
- Mysore (assisted self-practice) – suitable for all
- Monthly Led classes – Level 2, 3
- Guided Ashtanga Yoga – Level 1, 2
Ashtanga Yoga BEGINNERS INTRO PACK – We offer a 4-week pack for those who want to learn the Ashtanga Yoga method from scratch. This pack includes 1 online session (30-40 mins) and 3 in-person Mysore (assisted self-practice) classes.
You will book an online session with Ezgi first and she will explain some basics of this method there, Surya Namaskar A & B (Sun Salutations A&B) will be introduced in this first session as well. Then you will book 3 weekly in-person Mysore classes to work closely with Ezgi.
This Beginners Intro Pack requires some level of dedication from you as a practitioner and aims to help you establish a regular practice. You may expect some “homework” style tasks to practise at home between these sessions.
You may purchase your pack here, and Ezgi will get in touch to book the first session.
Yin Yoga
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style in which the poses are held for a longer period (three to five minutes sometimes longer). This practice targets the connective tissues rather than the muscles. The asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.
Pranayama & Meditation
The term “Pranayama” translates as “vital life energy”. there are specific techniques to practise Pranayama. Your teachers might incorporate these techniques into their regular lesson plans. We also offer dedicated “Pranayama & Meditation” classes.
